Welcome to the Brooklyn Junior Football Club 2026/27 Preseason Boys/Mixed Tournament
We are delighted to be hosting this tournament and are looking forward to an excellent weekend of preseason tournament football with our Girls tournament on Saturday 29th August and our Boys/Mixed tournament on Sunday 30st August
All age groups are for the 2026/27 season - please make sure you select the correct age group for the 2026/27 season and not the current season.
This page and sign up is for our BOYS/MIXED tournament on 30 August 2026.
Our tournament will consist of 8 teams in each age group. These 8 teams will be split into 2 groups. At the end of the group stage all teams will move into a knockout round. The top 2 teams in each group going into the Cup knockout competition and the bottom 2 teams in each group going into the Shield competition. All teams will play a minimum of 4 games.
Age category format is as follows:
U8 - 5 a side Morning 9.00am - 12.30pm
U9 - 5 a side Afternoon 2.00pm - 6.00pm
U10 - 7 a side Morning 9.00am - 1.00pm
U11 - 7 a side Afternoon 2.00pm - 6.00pm
U12 - 9 a side Morning 9.00am - 1.00pm
U13 - 9 a side Afternoon 2.00pm - 6.00pm
U14 - 11 a side Morning 9.00am - 1.00pm
U15 - 11 a side Afternoon 2.00pm - 6.00pm
Teams are permitted to bring a maximum squad size which would enable 5 substitutes. 5 a-side max squad size of 10, 7 a-side max squad size of 12, 9 a-side max squad size of 14, 11 a-side max squad size of 16
The games will be played under the City of York League football rules for the 2026/27 season with the exception of the length of the game.
All referees will be North Riding / City of York League affiliated and appointed.
All tournament management will be conducted through Tournify (sign up, schedule, results etc) this is available for spectators too.

A wide range of refreshments, stalls and other attractions will be available across the weekend.
Car parking is availble on site and will be charged at £3 to include a tournament programme.
Entry into the tournament is £50 at all age groups. Your place in the tournament is not secure until payment has been recieved.
In the event that a team need to withdraw from the tournament entry fees will only be refunded if a replacement team is secured by the tournament organisers and added to the competition.
